Lt. Col. Carl Peterson was flying since a young age. After joining the airforce, he was quickly promoted following his exemplary performance during several top secret missions. When fighting first broke out with the Automatons Lt. Col. Carl was the test pilot in one of the predecessors to the X-101s. He is credited with being the first human to destroy a wave of Automaton attack drones by using a gravity slingshot to redirect some asteroids.

Ship Abilities[]

Ultimate - Carl redirects a cluster of asteroids from off-screen which manifest as a rain of around 15 plasma bullets from above. They will fly diagonally across the entire screen from top-left to bottom-right (from bottom-left to top-right on vertical levels), making it useful for targeting enemies that are above or behind the player ship. They can also hit enemy bullets, in which case both enemy and plasma bullet will be destroyed.

  • Enhancement of this ultimate via Ultimate Enhancer or similar attachments will add 4/8/10 plasma bullets at enhancement level 1/2/3 which originate from behind Carl and fly toward his front (to the right on most levels).

Ability - +25% damage to environmental enemies (asteroids, trees, ice, etc.)

Notes[]

  • Lt. Col. Carl's starting stats are worth 13 Weapon Upgrade Powerups (Q40) while his initial maximum stats are worth 115 Q40. Therefore, it takes 102 units of Q40 (plus 8 more for every lost Drone) for Upgrade Computer or its derivatives to cap all stats.
  • Lt. Col. Carl has the highest starting and maximum Beam stats of all Pilots, making him a good choice for those that prefer to use Beam-specialized loadouts.
  • This character was added as a tribute to one of the Developers family member, and beta tester.
